“Shout to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs.”

Psalm 100:1-2

First Presbyterian Church is alive with joyful songs of the Lord!

Making music has always been a vital part of worship and congregational life at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Myers. We are privileged to have a baby grand piano and our magnificent Moeller pipe organ which was donated in 1972 and recently expanded. Our music department is exciting and fun for the musicians as well as the congregation on Sunday morning. Our Chancel Choir leads the congregation in worship through music at the 11:00 AM service throughout the year. In addition to leading the congregation in hymns and songs, they present an anthem each week. The choir sings a wide spectrum of anthems, from classics to spirituals, from gospel to contemporary offerings. In addition to weekly contributions at worship services, the Chancel Choir, enhanced by additional singers from the community, present special hymn sings throughout the year to benefit one of our missions – Community Cooperative Ministries, Inc. (The Soup Kitchen). In addition to our Chancel Choir we have an active Handbell Choir that performs on different occasions throughout the year.
